Come
together with other learners like yourself and help make media matter
in your community with Project Bridges. This intense comprehensive study
in media literacy will bring novices and experts together to design
and produce a complete program from start to finish. Participants will
choose a story to tell...about issues, organizations or people. Pre-production
elements, production and post-production elements will be discussed,
demonstrated and practiced through hands-on learning. Participants will
work together over the course of the program to produce a project that
will be shown in an open-house media salon after its completion as well
as on one of our own cable access channels. During the program, participants
can complete competency tests to certify them to use various equipment
for future projects. Project Bridges allows participants to harness
the power of media to bridge understanding among people and make a commitment
to create media that makes a difference.
